The Voices for Justice Annual Dinner honors courageous individuals who speak out where there is silence. Please join us in Brussels on 29 March 2017 as we celebrate some of the most important human rights achievements of the past year.



Joyce DiDonato

Multi Grammy Award winner, Kansas-born Joyce DiDonato entrances audiences and critics alike across the globe, soaring to international prominence in operas by Rossini, Handel and Mozart and as a fierce arts advocate.

DiDonato’s latest major recording release is In War & Peace: Harmony Through Music.  The November 2016 release is accompanied by a 20-city International Tour that poses the question: In the midst of chaos, how do you find peace?

Pierre Claver Mbonimpa

Pierre Claver Mbonimpa is a human rights defender, who has dedicated his life to denouncing rights violations against prisoners, activists, and individuals from all social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds in Burundi.

Philippe Bolopion

Philippe Bolopion is the Deputy Director for Global Advocacy. He assists in designing and implementing HRW’s advocacy strategies worldwide and in overseeing the organization’s advocacy response to crisis situations.


The auction will be graciously conducted by Mr Simon de Pury. Proceeds from the auction will support Human Rights Watch’s vital work to protect people around the world.

  • € 5,000 Voluntary donation to hire a videographer to visually document research findings for a multimedia piece.

Guardian and Advocate level tables include seating for ten guests. Partner level tables include seating for ten guests and the option to host a Human Rights Watch researcher.
